Description
WB MEMBRANE - a highly elastic sealing membrane consisting of two layers of non-woven fabric with an elastomeric layer in between. This arrangement of layers allows for durable sealing properties that are unchanged even at low temperatures and very high flexibility. In combination with the Water Block waterproofing system, it forms a tight waterproofing layer.
The sealing membrane is dedicated to sealing areas exposed to temporary or permanent exposure to water and moisture in places such as terraces, balconies, swimming pools, saunas, bathrooms, shower rooms, toilets, kitchens, cellars, laundries before laying ceramic tiles or other coverings. Ideal for permanently and reliably sealing surfaces against water inside and outside buildings. In combination with waterproofing, it effectively protects the surface against water and moisture. As a system Water Block combined with waterproofing adheres very well to substrates such as concrete, cement plaster, cement-lime plaster, gypsum plaster, gypsum blocks, cement boards, gypsum cardboard, gypsum fibre and cement fibre boards, cement and anhydrite screeds.
After installation, it forms a damp-proof and water-resistant coating. Can be applied to vertical and horizontal surfaces, indoors and outdoors. WB Membrane has a hydrostatic pressure load capacity of 0.5 MPa, a temperature resistance of -30 to 90 degrees C, and a high tensile strength of 13 Mpa.
Applications:
as part of the WB waterproofing system for balconies and terraces,
Sub-tile waterproofing layer for wet and damp areas in residential and public buildings (shower rooms, hotel bathrooms) only in combination with WB waterproofing metarials.
sub-tile waterproofing layer for moisture-sensitive substrates (gypsum plaster, gypsum fibre board, anhydrite screeds, wood-based panels) and traditional mineral substrates
sub-tile vapour barrier insulation (steam baths, wet saunas).
As a bonded sealing layer for use on moisture-sensitive substrates (such as gypsum plaster, gypsum fibre board, wood-based panels, anhydrite underlays) and on mineral substrates (concrete, cement plaster, cellular concrete, cement screeds, cement boards, etc.).
PROPERTIES:
- very good waterproofing properties,
- waterproof,
- vapour tight,
- high tensile strength,
- ability to bridge cracks and fissures in the substrate,
- high resistance to alkalis,
- very good adhesion to the substrate using the complete Water Block system,
- resistance to ageing and decay.

WB Membrane is fixed to the substrate with material WB DUO FLEXThe excess should be removed from under the membrane with a trowel or roller towards the joints. When laying the membrane, remember to overlap by approx. 10 cm. After installation WB Membrane the entire surface is covered with insulation compound WB 2Kwhich fills all the joints to form a uniform and tight insulation layer.
