WB Fast Floor cement mortar (C-25 class) is a ready-to-use floor screed characterized by an accelerated setting time and watertight properties. It can be extremely useful while laying or improving surfaces of balconies and terraces. It can be applied under PVC floor coverings, carpets, parquets, terracotta, stone, natural marble, etc. WB Fast Floor mortar is suitable for general use in construction-oriented projects. It can be used both in newly erected and in old buildings of residential, industrial, and public type. The recommended floor thickness should oscillate from 2 cm to 5 cm. In the case of larger surfaces, it is recommended to use expansion joints.
Surface preparation:
All sturdy and load-bearing cement surfaces free of organic contamination, dust, and grease are suitable as cement floor bases. Surfaces such as raw concrete, rough surfaces, and surfaces characterized by excessive water absorption should be sprinkled with water.
Mortar preparation:
WB Fast Floor cement mortar is a ready-made screed made of mineral ingredients. Neither cement nor sand should be added to it. The prepared mortar should be poured into a bucket, wheelbarrow, or a concrete mixer and water should be added to it gradually to obtain the desired consistency.
Usage:
The mortar should be applied to a prior prepared surface. The thickness of the layer should be measured with leveled guides made of metal pipes or rods, on which the mortar should be spread by means of a wooden or metal lath. The floor can be walked on after about 30 hours, depending on the ambient temperature and humidity. The optimal temperatures for applying the mortar range between +5°C and +25°C. Ceramic and stone coverings can be applied after 3 days. Carpets, PVC, linoleum, or parquets can be applied after 7 days, depending on air humidity and surface type.
Mortar storage:
The cement mortar should be stored in tightly closed bags in a dry place. The recommended mortar storage period should not exceed 6 months.
